Having joined a specialist firm of financial advisors in late 1988, Ian has now spent over thirty years advising both private and corporate clients across a range of financial planning solutions.

Initially Ian concentrated on self-administered pensions, in particular the use of SIPPs and SASSs in both pre and post-retirement planning. This also included using pension funds to buy specific assets such as commercial property, land and bespoke investment strategies.

Over the years the scope of advice has broadened to include, but not limited, to personal tax and investment strategies and planning for Companies and Company directors.

Although there have been a few corporate changes, Ian has a continuous career that extends over thirty years and has many existing client relationships which were formed at this time with advice now including several generations. In the summer of 2023 Ian finally decided to leave the corporate world and created a new IFA practice as part of the Oculus Group.

Outside of work, Ian continues to be involved with Reading Hockey and enjoys travelling with the family.
