Ian began his career in Financial Services in January 1989 as a trainee administrator. Little did he know at that point how enjoyable the career would be, both from a personal perspective but also the pleasure that comes from building long term relationships with clients. A number of Ian’s clients were being advised by the business at the time he joined and have been an integral part of his journey.

Ian remained with the same employer from January 1989 through to June 2020 when it was time for a change.

During Ian’s 30 years in financial services he has provided advice to individuals, employers, their employees and pension scheme trustees. Advice has been wide ranging from protection needs for younger clients through to retirement planning and investing to obtain an income for clients in retirement.

Ian is a Chartered Financial Planner and also a Resolution Accredited Financial Adviser, through which he provides specialist support to lawyers and their clients during and after divorce.

Ian’s focus has always been to keep advice simple, straightforward and understandable.

Outside of work Ian likes to be active, spending time in the garden. Ian is married with grown up children / step-children and a grandson.
